TEA & Education Occupational Cluster TEKS revision reivew

The Texas Education Agency is working with partners in the Education Occupational Cluster to align material covered in Texas’ Career and Technical Education courses with occupational skills. To help facilitate this task, we are asking qualified industry Subject Matter Experts to complete reviews of job profiles for Education and Training occupations. Data gathered through this process will be used to inform updates to the Education and Training Career and Technical Education Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS).

Please take about 20-30 minutes to complete a review.

Here’s the step by step process for completing a review:

  • Start Review: https://tea.skillsengine.org/
  • Select the Education and Training Occupational Cluster; You will be directed to a page listing the following Job Profiles:
  • Career/Technical Education Teachers, Secondary School Education Administrators, Preschool and Childcare Center/Program
  • Elementary School Teachers, Except Special Education
  • Kindergarten Teachers, Except Special Education
  • Preschool Teachers, Except Special Education
  • Secondary School Teachers, Except Special and Career/Technical Education
  • Special Education Teachers, Kindergarten and Elementary School
  • Special Education Teachers, Preschool
  • Special Education Teachers, All Other
  • Select a Job Profile for a role you have performed or directly supervised; You may review more than one Job Profile. Your expertise is greatly appreciated!
  • You will be asked to create an account – please be sure to create an account so your review will be saved if you are unable to complete it in one sitting.

The review should be completed by August 31, 2020 and will greatly assist the TEA CTE team in the upcoming TEKS revision process. For Education and Training courses.
